How to take over your market.

Understand consumers searching methods

Put yourself in the seat as a customer whether it’s researching or looking for a solution to a problem. If you can understand what problems their trying to solve then you can work out what keywords or phrases they will most likely be using. You can provide them with your business’s solution to it which will then in turn direct them to your page as you have all the right answers – sales of your product or service just by changing a few words.

Do the keyword research

Come up with a few main keywords you want your customers to be able to enter in searches to get to your business. You could even try looking up your competitors tools and use other tools to expand your list of keywords.

Decide how you will track conversations

Sometimes tracking the conversation is easy, when you make a sale. Other times it can be difficult. If you’re a boat sales person you’ll most likely be tracking leads. You’ll need to work out the cost it’s taken in advertising to get that one sale.

Decide on autoresponders and set them up

Setting up an autoresponder is a simple way to keep in touch with your customers and interested new customers.

Group Keywords by the conversation type

You need to find what your potential customer is looking for. Keep in mind there are varied aspects of what two different customers could be looking for but both conversations are within your business. For example if you’re a boat sales person your prospective clients could be looking for used boats and another for new.

Build landing pages on your site

As mentioned in grouping keywords you want both your two prospective clients to see what they need to see first for example one landing page could have your sales on new boats and another with second hand boat deals.

Set up your own blog.

Set up your adwords campaign – Using the keywords, groupings and landing pages.

KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR MARKETTING..DAILY

Make sure you keep on top of these tasks actually working to suit your website. Test daily that your keywords are functional enough, if not delete unused ones and add in new ones. Also try split test ads and adjusting bids.

As soon as a great “money term” is found

  • Start the search engine optimization process for that term. Market 2-5 articles per week (more if possible)
  • Make blog posts.
  • Answer posts on forums and yahoo answers.

Repeat this every 3 months.
